Indians pitcher Brett Myers made his second rehab start for Double-A Akron Wednesday, as he continues to recover from right elbow soreness.

Myers struggled, allowing three runs in 4 1/3 innings on two hits and four walks. He struck out two, while throwing 74 pitches. He is expected to make at least one more rehab start before potentially being activated from the disabled list.

Indians starter Brett Myers, who has been on the shelf since April 20 with a sore right elbow, feels good following his first rehab outing, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports Saturday.

Myers pitched three scoreless innings for Double-A Akron Friday. He gave up a hit and walked one over 28 pitches.

"I felt good and more importantly I feel good today," said Myers, who will make another rehab start Tuesday before the Indians will decide whether he'll be activated.

Myers walked one and allowed just one hit over three scoreless innings. He threw 28 pitches, 13 for strikes. Myers, who has been on the disabled list since April 20 with a sore right elbow, told The Plain Dealer that he'll need two rehab starts before rejoining the rotation.

However, manager Terry Francona would like to take a cautious approach with his injury.

"There will be a lot of factors, but the main thing will be how he is doing," Francona said. "When you sit a guy down, the object when he comes back is for him to feel good, not to rush back and go back to where he was. I think he's chomping at the bit, though, which means he's feeling good."

Indians starter Brett Myers will begin his rehab assignment Friday at Double-A Akron, MLB.com reports.

Myers is slated to throw three innings Friday night. Myers has been on the shelf since April 19 due to an elbow injury.
