by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer

Snider will take the place of Delmon Young, who went 2 for 4 in the first game, but is not in the lineup for the second game.

Orioles OF Travis Snider starts in left field on Wednesday
by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer

Following a three-game absence from the lineup, Orioles outfielder Travis Snider is starting in left field on Wednesday against the Astros. For the first time this season, Snider will bat in the No. 2 hole in the lineup.

Snider has been mostly a part-time player this season, splitting time in the outfield with David Lough, Delmon Young and Steve Pearce, who is starting in right field on Wednesday.

This season, Snider is hitting .270/.356/.371 this season with four doubles, and one home run.

Orioles' Delmon Young gets day off on Wednesday vs. Blue Jays
by Jason Lempert | Staff Writer

After starting six straight games, Orioles outfielder Delmon Young is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays. Young has just five hits over those six games, so manager Buck Showalter thought it best to give him a day off (he actually gets two days off with the team off on Thursday).

David Lough will take over in left field on Wednesday, while Alejandro De Aza covers right field. Adam Jones will hit cleanup in the batting order.
