Orioles closer Jim Johnson blew his first save of the season Tuesday at home against the Padres. His streak of 35 consecutive regular-season saves came to an end. 

Johnson gave up four hard hits in the ninth trying to protect a one-run lead. He was aided by a double play, but the Padres still scored twice off him to take over, 3-2. Johnson blew the save and took the loss to fall to 1-3 with a 1.80 ERA. 

The last time Johnson blew a regular season save was July 27, 2012 against Oakland. He gave up six earned runs over 1/3 of an inning in that outing. 

Orioles closer Jim Johnson entered Friday's contest against the Twins in the 10th inning with a three-run lead.

Johnson worked his way around a one-out single and needed just 10 pitches to secure a 9-6 victory. He struck out one in a scoreless frame as he picked up hsi 14ths ave of the season. He set a franchise record with 35 saves in as many chances, dating to last season.

Orioles closer Jim Johnson tied the Baltimore club record with 34 consecutive saves as he closed out the Royals Wednesday. Johnson is now tied with Randy Myers for the team record. 

Johnson allowed a hit in the ninth inning, but needed just 10 pitches with the help of a double play to record his 13th save. He struck out a batter and is a perfect 13 for 13 in save situations this year. 

Johnson is now tied with Pittsburgh's Jason Grilli for the major league lead in saves. 

Orioles closer Jim Johnson went 1-2-3 in the ninth inning Tuesday at home against the Royals to pick up his 12th save. Johnson took over the American League lead for the time being. 

Johnson struck out a batter in his outing and has allowed just two earned runs all year over 17 innings with 15 strikeouts. He's 12 for 12 in save situations with a 1-2 record. 

Orioles closer Jim Johnson picked up his first save in a week on Saturday against the Angels. He came on in the 10th inning with a one-run lead and needed 11 pitches to retire the side in order.

Johnson collected his 11th save in a 5-4 win. The 29-year-old has converted all 11 of his save chances and has a 1.13 ERA through 16 appearances.
