Video: Kyrie Irving challenges Kobe Bryant to one-on-one game

By Royce Young | NBA writer

Uncle Drew wants next with Kobe Bryant.

Kyrie Irving blew away a lot of people at Team USA's camp on the Select Team, impressing scouts, media and other players. And he even impressed himself so much that he had the stones to challenge The Black Mamba to a one-on-one game for $50,000.

(Something about the winner donating to charity, but that's not as fun.)

The theme of the trash talking was that Kobe was saying Irving was some kind of kid, while Irving said, "I'm not Lil Bow-Wow or something." Also, Irving said this: "You're NOT going to lock me up. You're not going to lock me up. It's over."

Impressive confidence there from Irving.

But I'd say the most impressive thing about this is that in a three-minute trash talking session, Kobe didn't curse once. That's an upset.
