Cavs to celebrate first Cleveland title in 52 years with parade Wednesday
The Cavs will celebrate their championship with their fans on Wednesday
Snapping the five decades long championship drought in Cleveland, the Cavaliers defeated the Golden State Warriors in Game 7 of the NBA Finals on Sunday to win the NBA championship. But with the game taking place at Oracle Arena, the Cavs did not get to celebrate in front of their die-hard and loyal fans. Thankfully for the Cavs, they won't have to wait too long to celebrate with the city of Cleveland.
After a brief stop in Las Vegas, the Cavs will land in Cleveland at 11:30 a.m. Monday. Fans are expected to meet the Cavs at Atlantic Aviation in Cleveland to celebrate their championship arrival.
But the real festivities will take place in downtown Cleveland on Wednesday when the Cavs hold their championship parade. That's when fans will revel in the streets and rejoice as the Cavs show off the Larry O'Brien Trophy, which signals an end to the city of Cleveland's a 52-year championship drought.
