LeBron James says ball-spinning against Raptors wasn't meant to be disrespectful
LeBron spun the ball on his hands twice before knocking down a triple in Game 2
The Cleveland Cavaliers have cruised to a 2-0 series lead against the Toronto Raptors in their Eastern Conference semifinal matchup, running their record for the postseason to 6-0.
In a display of just how comfortable the Cavs are feeling against the Raps, LeBron James took his time on a corner 3-pointer during Game 2, spinning the ball twice as he mulled his options against Serge Ibaka. Then he calmly rose up and buried the shot.

There has been some talk that this was a sign of disrespect to the Raptors, as James was basically treating the middle of a playoff game like a shootaround, but according to The King, he meant no disrespect. Via Cleveland.com:
"I was just basically in my zone, in my comfort zone and after I spun the ball and I jabbed him, I seen what I needed to see from the defender to be able to get that shot off. If I didn't see it, I would have drove it and if I didn't have the drive, I would have gave it up and let one of my teammates attack."
Sounds like pretty good reasoning to me.
I can understand why the Raptors would be upset by it, but I really don't think James was pondering to himself in the middle of the game, "Oh, here's a chance for me to disrespect the Raptors."
Just because he is insanely good at basketball and can do things 99.9 percent of the league can't replicate, doesn't mean he's being disrespectful.
