Besides the unprecedented amount of winning he's done in the NBA, Spurs coach Gregg Popovich is probably best known for giving sideline reporters nightmares with his short, grumpy answers during interviews between quarters.

Well, it appears he's not a total curmudgeon -- in fact, he could be one of the most generous people alive. According to a photo of a receipt floating around on the internet, Popovich might have left a $5,000 tip at a Memphis restaurant last Friday.

Now that's some good service!

The receipt from McEwen's on Monroe, originally uploaded to Reddit, appears to show that Pop left a $5,000 tip on a bill of $815.73 -- for those of you trying to do the math, that's a 613 percent tip.

Though neither Popovich nor restaurant owner Berte Smith has confirmed the massive gratuity (or that Popovich was in the restaurant) the date listed was an off day for the Spurs in Memphis between Game 3 and Game 4, and Smith said that Popovich "has been in our restaurant in the past multiple times," according to the San Antonio Express-News.

So, was it really Popovich? Here's a look at his autograph:
