NBA Playoffs: Kyle Lowry seals Raptors' Game 2 win with clutch stepback jumper
Lowry stepped up when the Raptors needed it
Already trailing 1-0 in their first-round series against against the Bucks, the Raptors were locked in another close battle Tuesday night late in Game 2. That's when their star point guard, Kyle Lowry, stepped up.
With just under 14 seconds remaining, the Raptors were clinging to a two-point lead. Controlling up top, with the shot clock winding down, was Lowry, who needed to make something happen, and fast. Driving right, he was hounded by Bucks rookie Malcolm Brogdon, who moved his feet well, and was sticking right with Lowry, until the Raptors point guard put on the brakes.
The behind-the-back move by Lowry created just enough space for him to get off the shot over Brogdon's outstretched arm, and it floated up, up, and then down, straight through the net, extending the Raptors' lead to 104-100 with nine seconds to go.
