Former NBA center Samuel Dalembert has been arrested on allegations of two counts of battery following an incident involving his girlfriend and his girlfriend's cousin Sunday evening. According to a police report from the Boca Raton police department, officers were sent to Dalembert's home Sunday night after a hang-up call to 911 came in from Dalembert's home.

According to the allegations, Dalembert became upset and pushed his girlfriend down and choked her cousin because he was upset that his girlfriend was taking their two children to Orlando. He was "arrested on two counts of battery and released from jail," according to the Associated Press.

A Boca Raton police report says police responded to Dalembert's home Sunday evening after a 911 hang-up. The woman and her cousin initially told officers nothing was wrong but eventually said the 7-foot, 270-pound Dalembert became upset after finding out that his girlfriend was leaving for Orlando with their two children.

The cousin told police Dalembert pushed the girlfriend down and then choked the cousin when he tried to intervene. Dalembert was arrested on two counts of battery and released from jail.

Dalembert played 13 seasons in the NBA, most recently with the New York Knicks in the 2014-15 season. He began his career with the Philadelphia 76ers as the 26th pick in the 2001 draft. He played eight seasons with the Sixers before being traded to the Sacramento Kings in 2010. From there, he never spent more than one season with a team the rest of his career.

He was with the Kings for the 2010-11 season before signing with the Houston Rockets in 2011. In 2012, he was traded from the Rockets to Milwaukee Bucks in 2012. He signed with the Dallas Mavericks in 2013 and traded to the Knicks in the deal that brought Tyson Chandler back to the Mavs in 2014. After his one year with the Knicks, Dalembert signed back with the Mavs but was waived in October of 2015 before the season started.
