After publicly endorsing Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton earlier this year, LeBron James appeared at a campaign rally with her over the weekend, urging people to vote.

James spoke of his experiences growing up in a poor urban community in Akron and the feeling that voting "doesn't matter," insisting that voting matters.

Cavaliers guard J.R. Smith joined James on stage along with his young daughter.

Early voting continues in many states, including Ohio, which is considered a battleground state. Donald Trump currently holds a 2.8 percentage vote lead in the state, according to the lastest from Real Clear Politics.

The U.S. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 8.
