Gordon suffered the injury in the first half Saturday and wraps up his night with eight points on 4 of 7 shooting in 13 minutes. The Pelicans have two days off before facing the Kings Tuesday.
At the Fantasy Basketball Today blog Wednesday, I took a look at a handful of players who have gotten off to slow starts to the season, to see how Fantasy owners should handle them.
"Gordon was once a model of offensive efficiency, but that has largely disappeared as his athleticism has been sapped by injuries. He posted a career-low free-throw rate last season, and that number has slid yet again this season. His shooting should rebound from where it's been, but he just doesn't have the athleticism to break down defenders and be a primary scoring option any more."
Gordon's scoring has disappeared, and he really doesn't do anything else to redeem his production. He is still owned in 66 percent of CBSSports.com Fantasy leagues, but he is entirely droppable at this point.
The struggles continued for
Gordon got the start and missed all six of his shots, half of which came from downtown. He knocked down all four of his free throw attempts, finishing with four points, two assists, one rebound and two steals while logging 28 minutes of game action in a 100-91 victory.
Gordon is off to a slow start, converting only 7 of 34 shot attempts through four games this season. He also has 10 turnovers and just three assists.

Gordon made his first game appearance since having season-ending knee surgery last April. He was limited to 10 minutes of game action, scoring four points -- all on free throws -- while missing all four of his shot attempts, including two from downtown. He added two assists and one rebound.
Holliday, who had season-ending surgery to repair the stress fracture in his right tibia last January, also played 10 minutes but held scoreless on 0 of 2 shooting in his first game back. He chipped in with two rebounds in a 98-86 victory.
