Cavaliers' Channing Frye: Will come off the bench Monday
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Frye will come off the bench for Monday's game against the Bucks, Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Frye has started the last four games in place of Kevin Love (knee), who's expected to miss at least another four weeks. However, the Cavaliers are opting to go with a smaller lineup Monday, moving Richard Jefferson into the starting lineup at power forward, while bringing Frye off the bench. Frye's demotion likely won't come with a huge drop in minutes, so it wouldn't be surprising if he still ended up logging minutes in the upper-20's.

Cavaliers' Channing Frye: Generates 11 points in Saturday start
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Frye registered 11 points (4-11 FG, 3-7 3Pt) five rebounds, two assists and one steal over 32 minutes in Saturday's 117-99 loss to the Bulls.

Frye drew the start at power forward for the fourth straight game and posted his third double-digit scoring effort over that span. However, he's struggled with his shot in the last three contests, tallying a 30.3 percent success rate (10-for-33) over that span. Frye's trademark three-point shot has abandoned him as well, as he's drained only five of his 20 attempts from behind the arc during that stretch. Despite the recent struggles, he remains a viable short-term grab for those in need of help in various scoring categories, as well as rebounds.

Cavaliers' Channing Frye: Starts, posts double-double versus T-Wolves
by RotoWire Staff | RotoWire

Frye started and played 33 minutes during Tuesday's 116-108 win over the T-Wolves, posting 21 points (7-15 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 10 rebounds, two blocks and one assist.

In the first game since it was announced that Kevin Love (knee) would miss roughly six weeks of action, Frye put on his best impression of his ailing teammate and came away with his second double-double of the season. Frye's role is pretty clearly defined on offense, as most of his shot attempts will come from behind the arc, and he could be a useful addition for fantasy owners down the stretch as the primary beneficiary of the vacancy in the Cavs' starting five.

Cavaliers' Channing Frye: Set for increased role
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Frye is expected to step into a larger role after the Cavaliers announced Tuesday that Kevin Love (knee) will miss at least the next six weeks, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.

Love underwent a knee scope Tuesday and is expected to remain out until late March, making Frye perhaps the most obvious candidate to receive additional playing time in his absence. The Cavs have already named Frye the starting power forward for Tuesday's game against the Timberwolves, and while coach Tyronn Lue could tinker with his lineup based on matchups, Frye remains the favorite the see the bulk of the starts in place of Love, barring a significant roster move before the trade deadline. Despite the appointment to the starting five for at least Tuesday's game, Frye may only enjoy a modest bump in fantasy value, as a committee of Frye, Richard Jefferson and Derrick Williams could all end up filling Love's minutes.

Cavaliers' Channing Frye: Will start in place of Love on Tuesday
by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com

Frye will start at power forward Tuesday against the Timberwolves, Cavaliers television play-by-play broadcaster Fred McLeod reports.

A sore left knee will keep Kevin Love out of action Tuesday, and with the Cavs also playing Wednesday on the second night of a back-to-back, it's possible Frye could see a boosted role for the final two contests prior to the All-Star break. Frye played only 11 minutes in Saturday's win over the Nuggets, finishing with eight points, two three-pointers and one rebound. The 33-year-old's value primarily stems from his ability to space the floor at 6-foot-11.
