Broncos so desperate for a QB they trade with Eagles for Mark Sanchez
The Eagles trade quarterback Mark Sanchez to the Broncos for a 2017 conditional draft pick.
The Denver Broncos are starting to figure out their quarterback problem and they're starting in an interesting place, trading for Eagles backup Mark Sanchez.
Mike Klis of 9 News first reported the trade, which has the Broncos sending a conditional draft pick in 2017 back to Philadelphia.

Sanchez was brought to the Eagles under Chip Kelly, so there's some room for real fun speculation here: perhaps he's part of a package being used to get Colin Kaepernick?
Or, more likely, Sanchez is a really cheap option to get on a depth chart that is completely and utterly bare. He joins Trevor Siemian!
The Eagles had a surplus of quarterbacks after re-signing Sam Bradford to a hefty contract and then signing Chase Daniel to a hefty contract as Bradford's backup.
Doug Pederson had his guys and Sanchez didn't fit into the plans. So Philly could comfortably ship him out of town to someone desperate enough for any sort of Plan C.
Remember: the Broncos won the Super Bowl with a busted Peyton Manning under center. They just need a healthy, breathing human at this point, someone who can comfortably hold a football and occasionally throw it down the field.

From a safety net perspective, the Broncos could totally do worse. Give up a pick that is going to be nothing, if not next to nothing, and you ensure you can't be totally left in the cold at the position.
They can worry about the starter next, whether it be by trading for Kaepernick as has been rumored or through more additions in free agency. The room with the game of quarterback musical chairs is getting warm and people are starting to sweat.
