Dez Bryant says he won't play Sunday against the 49ers
The Cowboys are going to play it safe with their star receiver, who's dealing with a knee injury
Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant said at practice Friday he's going to play things safe and skip the team's game against the 49ers on Sunday.
Jason Garrett said he couldn't provide a firm status on the star wide receiver's status, but according to the Dallas Morning-News, Dez confirmed he wouldn't play.

Bryant suffered a hairline fracture in his right knee on Sunday against the Bears early in the game.
He initially skipped an MRI to get the knee fully tested out, later admitting it was primarily because he was worried he had suffered a worse injury than he thought. Bryant was reportedly fined by the team for skipping the test.
I made a poor decision based on how I felt about my knee coach JG addressed it to me and I understood the consequences....

It's believed the knee injury, which Bryant suffered early against Chicago, could sideline him for up to three weeks. The Cowboys play the 49ers, Bengals and Packers before their Week 7 bye, which is a rather convenient time for Bryant to miss and get healthy.
