Former Browns LB Karlos Dansby: 'Guys shut down' last year
Given how the Browns' season went, this is hardly surprising news
While the Cavaliers celebrate the city of Cleveland's first title in forever (with a shirtless J.R. Smith), the Browns are simply trying to graduate from incompetent to competent. On the same day the Cavaliers' championship parade took place, a former member of the Browns provided some insight into the incompetence of the 2015 team.
According to linebacker Karlos Dansby, now a member of the Bengals, the Browns quit last season.
"Because at a certain point, guys had just shut down," Dansby told Alex Marvez and Kirk Morrison on SiriusXM NFL Radio. "Guys shut down, the organization just wasn't clicking. The coaches and the front office, there was just a lot of mess going on, a lot of things going on, a lot of distractions."

Considering everything that transpired, this isn't exactly shocking news. From Johnny Manziel's woes both on and off the field to the team's devastating walk-off blocked field goal loss, the 2015 season really was the most Browns season ever. In addition to going 3-13, they also accumulated a -154 point differential -- their lowest total since 2000.
So, consider it a good thing then that the regime in charge of last season's debacle is gone. Now, it's Hue Jackson and a Moneyball type of front office (just how much power the stat heads hold is still unclear).
The bad news: The team plans on trotting out either Robert Griffin III or Cody Kessler this fall, which should inspire just about no one.
