Giants' Odell Beckham appeals his fines for dancing and illegal block
The Giants' star receiver is waiting to hear the status of his appeals
Odell Beckham, Jr. is awaiting word on both of his in-season NFL fines incurred in 2016, according to a league source, having appealed both sanctions already.
Beckham was fined just over $12,000 for joining teammate Victor Cruz in a salsa-dancing touchdown celebration. In Week 2 he was fined just over $36,000 for an illegal block on Saints safety Kenny Vaccaro. The star receiver has filed a formal appeal for both decisions, and it generally takes upward of a month for players to learn whether or not their fines have been decreased or rescinded.
Beckham remains a lightning rod for some of his emotional displays during games. He got through last week's battle with Redskins corner Josh Norman without incident but then had a meltdown as the Giants lost, which prompted rookie head coach Ben McAdoo to urge him to calm down and better control his emotions.
