LOOK: NFL players remember 9/11 on social media before Sunday's games
Dozens of NFL players used social media to pay their respect to those lost on 9/11
As NFL players around the league get ready to play their first regular season game on Sunday, not all of them are just thinking about football. Many players across the NFL took to social media on Sunday morning to remember the 15th anniversary of 9/11.
Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson was one of the several dozen players who took time to remember the almost 3,000 people that were lost on Sept. 11, 2001.

For some players, like Colts punter Pat McAfee, Twitter didn't offer enough room to remember 9/11, so he took to Instagram.
Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz also used Instagram to reflect on 9/11.
The NFL will be honoring the memory of those lost on 9/11 during a pregame ceremony at all 13 games on Sunday. One of those games sites is in New York, where the Jets will be hosting the Bengals. The Bengals actually visited Ground Zero on Saturday before their game with the Jets. Here's Andy Dalton laying a bouquet of flowers at the Memorial pool.

Before that game, the Jets will be wearing 9/11 t-shirts. The team will also be wearing hats that feature the NYPD, FDNY and Port Authority logos.
