NFL trade deadline: Buccaneers making a push to land a veteran receiver
Tampa Bay wants to acquire another target for Jameis Winston
The Buccaneers are in the market for a receiver to pair with Mike Evans. And so, they're making a push with the trade deadline approaching.
CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora reported Wednesday that the Buccaneers want to trade for a veteran receiver. According to La Canfora, the Buccaneers would be willing to deal a draft pick and/or a cornerback.
La Canfora's original report is below:
Tampa Bay making a push to land a vet WR, sources said. Willing to move a pick and/or CB J. Banks or A. Verner for the right guy...

The contracts for those corners will make them hard to deal (especially Verner). WRs would could be dealt include T. Smith and Jeffery

It was reported earlier in the week that the 49ers were discussing parting ways with Torrey Smith. Meanwhile, Alshon Jeffery is playing under the franchise tag and his future in Chicago past this season remains unclear.
The Buccaneers' interest in a receiver makes sense. They already lost Vincent Jackson to an ACL injury, and Evans can't catch all of Jameis Winston's passes. To this point, Evans has garnered 75 targets. Adam Humphries is next in line with 34.
Though the Buccaneers are 3-3, they're very much in the playoff picture. The Falcons lead the NFC South at 4-3.
