He avoided suspension for his behavior in the Panthers-Giants game but Carolina cornerback Josh Norman won't reportedly avoid getting some hefty fines.

According to Jarrett Bell of USA Today, Norman was fined more than $25,000 for his actions in the game, primarily against Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham, Jr. (suspended one game by the NFL for multiple player safety violations in Week 15).

Norman was fined for two specific things: getting a $8,681 fine for a face mask and getting a $17,363 fine for striking to the head/neck area.

The second fine is actually a "second offense" level of fine according to the 2015 NFL fine schedule, although the "first offense" numbers are all considered minimum.

It was surprising to hear Norman wasn't fined for unnecessarily touching an official -- he had his mitts all over a ref during an on-field altercation with Beckham during the game on Sunday.

Norman ultimately got off light, however, in his battle with Beckham, whose suspension is a huge blow for a Giants team still fighting for a playoff spot.
