WATCH: The Mountain from 'Game of Thrones' deadlifts absurdly huge weights
The man who plays Gregor Clegane is very strong in real life too
Because life isn't fair, we have to wait a long time for the next season of Game of Thrones -- even longer that we normally would, in fact, because the producers want to have actual winter weather. Winter finally showed up, six seasons later.
Everyone's just hanging out, jonesing for some GoT action. And here's the best we can offer you today from a sports perspective: Gregor Clegane, a.k.a. The Mountain, lifting some really heavy and huge weights.
There's an NFL tie here, too, as the man who plays him, Thor Bjornsson, once almost signed a contract with the Colts.
He didn't, but if they're still interested in finding a super strong human being capable of crushing opponents with his bare hands, they should probably take a look.
Here's a clip of Bjornsson pressing a 284.4-pound dumbbell over his head and then throwing up a pair of 200-pound dumbbells with a chest press.
Bjornsson hasn't always played The Mountain. Originally Conan Stevens played the role of Clegane, but he was replaced by Bjornsson in Season 4.
To avoid potential spoilers, let's just say he's taken on a much bigger role in the past several seasons, so he's probably sitting on a little less free time when it comes to potentially playing football.
Bjornsson is certainly prolific on social media, consistently posting quality strongman-type stuff on his Instagram page -- with plenty of GoT action mixed in.
