Tim Barnes, Barrett Jones, Demetrius Rhaney vying for Rams center job
by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com

As the Rams start the final week of OTAs, three players are still battling in a wide-open race to be starting center.

Tim Barnes, Barrett Jones and Demetrius Rhaney are vying for the job, and the competition will liekly last far into training camp.

"We’re not going to make a decision real early,” coach Jeff Fisher said, per StLToday.com. “We’ll let them all play. We’re rotating them. They’re all getting opportunities to work with (QBNick Foles), so he’s familiar, not only with the exchanges, but also the communication. We’ll make that decision when somebody shows us he’s earned the job."

Report: Rams don't make tender offer to Tim Barnes
by Shawn Krest | CBSSports.com

The Rams didn't make a tender offer to restricted free agent Tim Barnes, according to a report by Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

That means that the offensive lineman will become an unrestricted free agent on March 10, and the Rams wouldn't get any compensatory draft picks, if he signs with another team.

The Rams can still bring Barnes back by re-signing him on the open market.
