Jets CB Dee Milliner not buying into bust label
by Jason Butt |

Dee Milliner was seen as someone that could come in and contribute almost immediately when the Jets selected him with the ninth-overall pick in the 2013 NFL draft.

However, he's only been able to play in 16 games over two seasons as injuries have kept him from being a consistent presence on the field. Asked whether he was a bust as a result of not living up to top-10 status in two years, Milliner said it was too early to come to that conclusion.

"Man, let them talk," Milliner said, via "Let them label me as they want to label me. I didn't get to this point for being a bust. I'm just going to go out and do what I can do, and just let the people talk if they want to talk. It doesn't upset me. You get criticized ever since you're a little kid, all the way up, playing football. It's just part of the game."

by Larry Hartstein |

Jets cornerback Dee Milliner, who's rehabbing from a torn Achilles tendon, will compete for the No. 4 cornerback spot now that the team has added Darrelle Revis, Antonio Cromartie and Buster Skrine in free agency, reports the New York Daily News.

While other teams have inquired about trading for Milliner, the Jets "are content waiting for the third-year player to get healthy to properly evaluate him," the report said. The ninth overall pick in 2013, Milliner has played 16 games over two seasons, recording 62 tackles and three interceptions.
