49ers part ways with Cundiff: The 49ers announced Friday afternoon that they have waived kicker Billy Cundiff, just 17 days after signing the 32-year-old after Week 17. Cundiff was brought in to compete against struggling David Akers, but failed to earn the starting nod. (Updated 1/18/13)
