| Dolphins sign Ellerbe: Former Steelers wide receiver Mike Wallace isn't the only big named free agent taking his talents to South Beach, Ravens free agent linebacker Dannell Ellerbe is headed to Miami, too, CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora has confirmed. The Dolphins and Ellerbe have agreed to a five-year, $35 million contract. The deal was first reported by the Baltimore Sun. Ellerbe told the Baltimore Sun as recently as last week that he would like to remain a Raven, "The Ravens are a perfect situation for me. Hopefully, it's a perfect situation for me to sign on the dotted line," Ellerbe said. According to the report, the Ravens and Ellerbe were unable to reach a mutually attractive contract number, despite negotiating all day on Tuesday. (Updated 3/12/13) |
