  • Jets' Ondrej Pavelec: Will accompany team

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/15/17) Pavelec (concussion) will travel with the team on their four-game road trip, but remains questionable to suit up, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.

Considering the rigors of travel, it is certainly a good sign that Pavelec has been cleared to join the team on the road. With Connor Hellebuyck struggling to keep pucks out of the back of the net, coach Paul Maurice likely wants to keep Pavelec on hand to suit up the minute he is given the green light. Additionally, if the organization is considering trading the netminder prior to the deadline -- he will be a free agent after the season -- it will want to get the 23-year-old onto the ice to hopefully garner a bigger price tag.

Jets' Ondrej Pavelec: Showing on IR

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/14/17) Pavelec (concussion) is on injured reserve, per the NHL's official media site.

After getting waived to start the season, Pavelec was afforded a chance to resurrect his career with Connor Hellebuyck and Michael Hutchinson faltering, but the results weren't there as the Czech tender, who'll be an unrestricted free agent in the summer, went 4-4-0 with an egregious 3.55 GAA and .888 save mark. Of course, not helping these Winnipeg netminders is that the Jets rank 27th on the penalty kill. There shouldn't be any urgency for fantasy owners to throw Pavelec back into lineups upon his eventual return.

    Jets' Ondrej Pavelec: Resumes skating

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/13/17) Pavelec (concussion) skated prior to Monday's practice.

Pavelec seems to be trending toward a return to action, but unless he can practice fully, including taking shots, the netminder will remain out of the lineup. Until the 29-year-old is cleared, Connor Hellebuyck figures to see the bulk of the time in between the pipes for the Jets.

Jets' Ondrej Pavelec: Out at least one week

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/9/17) Pavelec (concussion) will be sidelined for at least a week according to coach Paul Maurice, Brian Munz of TSN 1290 reports.

Based on the coach's timeline, Pavelec will miss the Jets' next three contests with Feb. 16 against the Penguins as a potential return date. Considering how fluid concussion recovery can be, however, there is likely no definitive date for the netminder to return to action. With Pavelec out, Connor Hellebuyck figures to see the bulk of the ice time in the crease.

Jets' Ondrej Pavelec: Leaves start due to injury

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/7/17) Pavelec left Tuesday's game against the Wild due to a lower-body injury and he will not return, Sara Orlesky of TSN.ca reports.

Pavelec coughed up three goals on 14 shots before departing after 26:15, so it was another subpar outing. He has allowed three or more goals in each of his seven appearances this season. Connor Hellebuyck replaced him. When healthy, Pavelec is nothing more than a low-end No. 2 netminder in deeper pools until he starts to save more shots.
