  • Rangers' Oscar Lindberg: Leads the charge in Game 4

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(5/5/17) Lindberg scored a pair of goals in Thursday's Game 4 win over the Senators.

Lindberg also lit the lamp in Game 3 and has played a key role in New York's resurgence in this series. He wasn't much of a factor against the Habs in Round 1, but the fourth line for the Rangers has come through against Ottawa. The 25-year-old isn't viewed as a significant offensive contributor, but he's a solid depth guy with a strong shot. Having gotten 12 goals from nine different players in this series, the Rangers will continue to count on their bottom six to help get past the Senators.

Rangers' Oscar Lindberg: Gets goal and assist in win

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(3/18/17) Lindberg scored a goal and added an assist in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Wild.

He delivered in limited ice time (9:59). Lindberg has just 17 points in 55 games this season, thus minimizing his fantasy value.

Rangers' Oscar Lindberg: Picks up two helpers in win over Panthers

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(3/7/17) Lindberg handed out a pair of assists despite playing a team-low 10:27 in Tuesday's 5-2 win over Florida.

Both were of the primary variety, and Lindberg also won nine of 13 faceoffs, continuing his improvement at the dot this year. Tuesday's limited ice time was pretty close to his season average; that in mind, his 15 points and 66 shots over 50 games are actually rather promising. At 1.76 points per 60 minutes, he's right in the range of teammates like Kevin Hayes and Derek Stepan, and his possession numbers are promising too. File that away for the future, just in case Lindberg starts seeing more ice time.

Rangers' Oscar Lindberg: Scores gorgeous goal Thursday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(3/3/17) Lindberg's third-period goal held up as the game-winner in Thursday's 2-1 victory over Boston.

It was a beautiful goal, as Lindberg absolutely embarrassed Bruins blueliner Brandon Carlo with a deke around him and a spectacular shot that beat Tuukka Rask across the body. Lindberg's been finding his way onto the scoresheet occasionally of late -- three goals in his last six games -- but his minutes remain sharply limited, including just 8:52 on Thursday. Still, he's giving fantasy owners good reason to keep him on their watchlists in case he wins a bigger role down the line, as Lindberg has produced impressively at the AHL level already and is slowly developing into a quality NHL player.

Rangers' Oscar Lindberg: Chips in with pair of assists

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/12/17) Lindberg posted two assists with a plus-2 rating in Saturday's win against the Avalanche.

Lindberg has posted a goal and three points over his past three games. He just doesn't log enough ice time and get many scoring chances to give him a chance at sustained production. Unless he is able to secure more playing time he just isn't worth fantasy consideration outside of the very deepest pools.

  • February 25, 2015: Rangers Send Lindberg To AHL
Lindberg was sent down to AHL Hartford on Wednesday, the NY Post reports.Lindberg spent just one game with the NHL club, as he was called up to fill in for Rick Nash as he dealth with neck spasms. The 23-year-old has had an impressive season with Hartford, tallying 36 points and a plus-5 rating in 54 games.
February 25, 2015: Rangers' Lindberg Makes NHL Debut
Lindberg skated 8:18 and took two shots on goal in his NHL debut Tuesday against Calgary. The 23-year-old centerman showed some nice skill and grit, with his persistent play yielding a couple scoring chances despite the limited ice time. He's a short-timer in this stint with the Rangers, but has solid longer-term potential despite being an older prospect.
February 24, 2015: Rangers Recall Lindberg
Lindberg was recalled from AHL Hartford on Tuesday, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports. The Rangers have at least one center feeling under the weather entering Tuesday's game against the Flames, so Lindberg will be on hand as an insurance option. The 23-year-old has an impressive 16 goals and 20 assists over 54 games for Hartford, but would more than likely be used in a bottom-six role if he ends up suiting up with the Rangers on Tuesday.
