  • Flames' Johnny Gaudreau: Tendered qualifying offer Monday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(6/27/16) Gaudreau was extended a qualifying offer by the Flames on Monday.

Gaudreau avoided the sophomore slump by racking up an astonishing 30 goals and 48 helpers this season. Calgary is likely extending the offer as a formality and will look to lock up Johnny Hockey to a long-term deal as quickly as possible. One of the top young talents in the league, fantasy owners will certainly want to snatch up the 22-year-old, perhaps sooner rather than later.

Flames' Johnny Gaudreau: Dishes out assist, two shy of 80 points

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/8/16) Gaudreau notched a power-play helper and two PIM in Thursday's 7-3 win over Vancouver.

Gaudreau is really pushing for his first 80-point season, as the winger is sitting just two shy with one game left on the schedule. The 22-year-old has two tallies and three helpers in his last three, and has truly blossomed into a star for the Flames. The 2011 fourth-round pick has equaled last year's 21 points on the power play, which shows he remains a threat on the man advantage, especially seeing close to four minutes on ice in those situations.

Flames' Johnny Gaudreau: Reaches 30-goal plateau in win

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(4/3/16) Gaudreau scored twice and fired five shots on goal in Saturday's win over Edmonton.

With the two goals, the 22-year-old hit the 30-goal mark for the first time in his NHL career. Gaudreau has had a fantastic season, recording 75 points in 76 games. The Flames are out of playoff contention, but Gaudreau has scored four goals in his last six games, so keep him rolling.

Flames' Johnny Gaudreau: In Thursday's lineup

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(3/31/16) Gaudreau will rejoin the lineup Thursday against the Kings, Wes Gilbertson of Postmedia reports.

Gaudreau will retake his spot on the top line alongside Sean Monahan and Hunter Shinkaruk, and should be deployed as he would normally. The star winger will look to add to his team-leading 73 points on the campaign, but will need to beat a tough netminder in Jonathan Quick in order to do so. He's tallied one assist in two matchups with the Kings this season.

Flames' Johnny Gaudreau: Game-time decision Thursday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(3/31/16) Gaudreau (upper body) is a game-time decision for Thursday's game against the Kings.

Gaudreau has missed the Flames' last two games, but he obviously merits a lineup spot any time he takes the ice, approaching Thursday's contest with 73 points (tied for eighth in the NHL) in 74 contests to date.

  • April 11, 2015: Flames' Gaudreau Set To Sit Out Saturday
Gaudreau (rest) is skating as an extra in warmups and isn't expected to play Saturday against the Jets, Wes Gilbertson of the Calgary Sun reports. The Flames were able to clinch their spot in the playoffs with Thursday's win over the Kings, so it appears Gaudreau will be among the many regulars who will sit out Saturday. He'll finish his rookie season with 24 goals and 64 points over 80 games, giving him a decent chance at coming away with Calder Trophy honors.
