  • Flames' Johnny Gaudreau: Posts three points versus Hurricanes

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/26/17) Gaudreau continued his hot streak Sunday, recording two goals and an assist in a 3-1 victory over the Hurricanes.

That's now two goals and eight points for "Johnny Hockey" in his last four contests, but Gaudreau has been extremely streaky this season. Prior to this run, he went pointless in four straight, and before that, he had a six-game point streak. In December, he recorded four goals and 14 points, but then in January, he only had two goals and six points. At this point, owners have probably learned to live with the inconsistencies, and at least for the moment, he's playing extremely well.

Flames' Johnny Gaudreau: Four assists Tuesday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/22/17) Gaudreau dished out four helpers in Tuesday's 6-5 overtime win over the Predators.

All four of Gaudreau's assists came at even strength, with the final once helping Mark Giordano seal the victory 43 seconds into overtime. The baby-faced winger has scored just one goal in his past 20 games, but he does have 12 helpers over that span. He's converting on just 8.0 percent of his shots this season after coming in with a career shooting percentage of 14.3 percent.

Flames' Johnny Gaudreau: Gaudreau gets the message

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/16/17) After spending time on the Flames' fourth line on Monday, Johnny Hockey was back in the thick of things, leading the team with 21:38 of ice time in Wednesday's 3-1 win over Philadelphia.

Gaudreau had been demoted to the fourth line by coach Glen Gultzan following a 5-0 loss to Arizona in which he had been taking long shifts leading to mental mistakes and a critical turnover. He was held off the scoresheet against the Flyers, but should continue to be a pivotal player in Calgary's playoff push.

Flames' Johnny Gaudreau: Pots overtime winner with 31 seconds left

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/27/17) Gaudreau scored the overtime winner and added an assist in Thursday's 3-2 win over Ottawa.

Gaudreau broke an 11-game goal drought to win it with 31 seconds left in overtime. He also recorded a much-needed plus-2 rating after going minus-7 over his previous four contests. This has been a disappointing campaign for the 23-year-old, as he's on pace to finish with fewer than 60 points after recording 78 last season.

    Flames' Johnny Gaudreau: Avoids concussion

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/24/17) Gaudreau briefly left Monday night's shutout loss to the Maple Leafs but was able to return later in the game after clearing concussion protocol, Wes Gilbertson of Postmedia reports.

Gaudreau was hit by the Leafs' Leo Komarov while making a backhand pass from his own left wing boards. Despite leaving the game, Gaudreau still managed to play over 20 minutes, including 5:51 of power-play time on ice. The former Boston College standout has now gone pointless in 11 of his last 16 games.

  • April 11, 2015: Flames' Gaudreau Set To Sit Out Saturday
Gaudreau (rest) is skating as an extra in warmups and isn't expected to play Saturday against the Jets, Wes Gilbertson of the Calgary Sun reports. The Flames were able to clinch their spot in the playoffs with Thursday's win over the Kings, so it appears Gaudreau will be among the many regulars who will sit out Saturday. He'll finish his rookie season with 24 goals and 64 points over 80 games, giving him a decent chance at coming away with Calder Trophy honors.
