Gaudreau collected a goal in Columbus' 5-2 loss to Buffalo on Friday. Gaudreau has closed out the season with 21 goals and 74 points in 80 outings. While those are impressive numbers, it is a far cry from the 40 goals and 115 points he recorded with Calgary in 2021-22. Gaudreau played through the first campaign of his seven-year, $68.25 million contract with Columbus.... See More ... See Less

Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: Pots OT winner
Gaudreau scored the overtime winner in Thursday's 3-2 victory over the Penguins. The 29-year-old got sprung for a breakaway by Adam Boqvist and made no mistake, going five-hole on Tristan Jarry exactly one minute into the extra frame. Gaudreau has 20 goals and 73 points through 79 games, respectable given the state of the roster around him, but Thursday's win could prove costly for the franchise's chances of improving his supporting cast -- it jumped Columbus ahead of Anaheim and Chicago at the bottom of the NH:L standings, hurting the Jackets' chances of landing Connor Bedard in the draft.... Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: Back in action Saturday
Gaudreau (illness) will return to the lineup Saturday versus the Rangers, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports. Gaudreau played only a few shifts Thursday against New Jersey before his illness forced him to leave the contest. He has 19 goals and 71 points in 76 games this season.... See More ... See Less -
Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: Exits with illness
Gaudreau (illness) left Thursday's game versus the Devils and will not return. Gaudreau took only a handful of shifts in the first period. It's unclear if he'll feel well enough to play Saturday versus the Rangers, though the Blue Jackets are unlikely to push him since they're out of the playoff race.... See More ... See Less -

Gaudreau picked up a pair of assists in Sunday's 4-3 overtime win over the Senators. Gaudreau grabbed his first helper on Kent Johnson's power-play goal early in the first period before setting up Kirill Marchenko for the game-winner 16 seconds into overtime. Gaudreau has increased his production of late, recording 16 points (four goals, 12 assists) in his last 12 contests. The 29-year-old forward is up to 19 goals and 71 points through 74 games this season.... See More ... See Less -

Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: Two points in OT win
Gaudreau picked up a goal and an assist, both on the power play, in Friday's 5-4 overtime win over the Islanders. It might end up being a costly victory for Columbus in multiple ways -- three different Blue Jackets got hurt during the game, and the win allowed the Sharks to move into the NHL basement, and the best odds of landing Connor Bedard in the draft lottery -- but Gaudreau isn't wired for tanking. The 29-year-old has four multi-point performances in the last seven games as he finished out the season on a heater, and he's up to 18 goals and 67 points through 69 contests in his first campaign with his new club.... Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: Grabs two helpers in win
Gaudreau logged a pair of assists in Tuesday's 7-6 overtime win over Washington. Gaudreau picked up his first helper on Emil Bemstrom's goal in the third period before setting up Jack Roslovic for the winner in overtime. Overall, it's been a down year for Gaudreau after posting 115 points last season, though he does have eight points (two goals, six assists) in his previous five games. The 29-year-old winger is up to 17 goals and 48 assists through 68 games with Columbus.... See More ... See Less -
Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: Explodes for five points
Gaudreau scored twice on six shots, added three assists and went plus-4 in Tuesday's 6-5 overtime win over the Sharks. Gaudreau tied the game at 1-1 in the first period and secured the win 4:17 into overtime with his second tally. He also had the primary assist on all three of the Blue Jackets' second-period markers. He'd gone nine games without a goal entering Tuesday, though he had six helpers in that span. With the explosive showing, Gaudreau is up to 17 goals, 62 points, 165 shots on net and a minus-23 rating through 64 appearances this season.... See More ... See Less -
Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: Two helpers against Oilers
Gaudreau notched two assists in Saturday's 6-5 win over Edmonton. Both points came early in the afternoon as the Blue Jackets built a 4-0 lead, only for it to nearly slip through their fingers. Gaudreau missed a couple games last weekend with a lower-body injury, but it doesn't seem to have slowed him down -- over his last 13 contests, he's racked up three goals and 13 points.... Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: Returns to action Thursday
Gaudreau (lower body) will return to the lineup versus Minnesota on Thursday, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports. Gaudreau has 15 goals and 52 points in 55 games this season, with two goals and 14 assists coming on the power play.... See More ... See Less -
Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: Hopes to play Thursday
Gaudreau (lower body) practiced Tuesday and hopes to return to the lineup Thursday versus Minnesota, Jeff Svoboda of the Blue Jackets' official site reports. Gaudreau, who has missed the past two games, leads the Blue Jackets with 37 assists and 52 points in 55 contests this campaign. If he returns to action Thursday, Kirill Marchenko is likely to be bumped down the depth chart.... See More ... See Less -
Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: Won't play Sunday
Gaudreau (lower body) won't play Sunday in Arizona. Gaudreau will miss a second straight game with a lower-body injury. The 29-year-old winger has 15 goals and 37 assists through 55 games in his first season with Columbus. Lane Pederson will remain in the lineup while Gaudreau is sidelined. Gaudreau's next chance to play will come Thursday against the Wild.... See More ... See Less -

Gaudreau recorded a power-play assist, two shots on goal and a minus-2 rating in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Canucks. Gaudreau extended his point streak to five games (one goal, six assists) when he helped out on the second of Kirill Marchenko's tallies in the game. The 29-year-old Gaudreau is known for going on hot streaks, so it's not unusual to see him carrying the Blue Jackets' offense right now. He's at 13 goals, 48 points (14 on the power play), 130 shots on net and a minus-17 rating through 49 contests overall.... See More ... See Less -
Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: Sets up game-winner in overtime
Gaudreau produced an assist, two shots on goal, two PIM and a plus-2 rating in Wednesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Oilers. Gaudreau's point streak is up to four games (one goal, five assists). He set up Kent Johnson's first career game-winning goal at 2:29 of the extra session Wednesday. Gaudreau continues to be a bright spot for the Blue Jackets in a disappointing season for the team -- he's up to 47 points, 128 shots on net, 18 PIM and a minus-15 rating through 48 contests.... Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: Two assists in return to Calgary
Gaudreau notched a pair of power-play assists, five shots on goal and a minus-2 rating in Monday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Flames. Gaudreau was at the center of just about everything in his first game back in Calgary since signing with Columbus over the summer. Blue Jackets' Johnny Gaudreau: Two helpers in Saturday's win
Gaudreau picked up two assists in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Red Wings. He had a hand in two of Patrik Laine's three goals on the night, making a slick cross-ice pass midway through the first period to get his linemate started on the hat trick. Gaudreau has been dragged down by the struggles of the team around him, but even his slow stretches are still fairly productive, and he has two goals and seven points in nine games since Christmas....
