  • Ducks' Kevin Bieksa: Scores first goal on power play Sunday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/4/16) Bieksa's power-play blast Sunday against Winnipeg was his first goal as a Duck and held up as the game winner. He also added an assist in the victory.

It was also the first multi-point effort for Bieksa in a Ducks uniform, as the veteran had just one assist in his previous 18 games entering Sunday. The former Canuck logs heavy minutes and plays on the second power-play unit, but he's got just six points in 38 games on the season. While the offense hasn't been there, the Ducks are surging right now and Bieksa has helped fantasy goers with 59 PIM, so he could be worth looking at in some deeper formats, especially if Anaheim continues to pile on goals.

Ducks' Kevin Bieksa: Collects helper in win over Devils

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(12/20/15) Bieksa assisted on Chris Stewart's first period marker on Saturday in New Jersey.

The point comes as only his fourth of the season, all of which have been assists. This also ends an 11 game point scoring drought for the 34-year-old vet, who is almost certainly not happy with his personal output of the team's this season. Bieksa's one saving grace is his consistent ability to land himself in the sin bin, as he has collected 42 penalty minutes in 31 games this season.

Ducks' Kevin Bieksa: Remains goalless on the season

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(12/2/15) Bieksa is still without a goal in his first season with the Anaheim Ducks.

Bieksa has ever eclipsed eight goals in a season, but he's usually been good for 20+ points a season throughout much of his career. That's what makes his current pace of ten points in 82 games a little concerning. He's still getting reps on the Ducks' second power play unit, so he should be able to improve on his currently disappointing one power play point. Consider looking at other options until Bieksa begins to regain his scoring touch.

Ducks' Kevin Bieksa: Collects assist in win Wednesday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(11/5/15) Bieksa assisted on Chris Stewart's second of the season in Wednesday's win over the Panthers.

The assist was only Bieksa's second point of the season, so he hasn't exactly been very productive offensively early on. He is getting a fair amount of power play time each game, however, and should see an increase in point production as Anaheim begins to regain their offensive prowess. Considering that he is second only to Hampus Lindholm in ice time amongst defensemen, and his tendency to spend time in the box, Bieksa is still a decent option in multi-category leagues.

    Ducks, Bieksa Agree To Extension

(7/1/15) Kevin Bieksa signed a two-year, $8 million contract extension with the Ducks on Wednesday, Elliotte Friedman of Hockey Night in Canada reports.
