Didier Drogba may be on his way to Chelsea for a third time. The Montreal Impact forward, who tore up MLS last season by scoring 12 goals in 12 matches, may serve as an assistant coach under new Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink. The Dutchman is in charge of the Blues until the end of the season after Jose Mourinho was fired last week, and he has expressed his desire to bring the Ivorian on board.

Drogba was in London over the weekend to watch Chelsea's 3-1 win over Sunderland. His current club tweeted the following Wednesday evening.

If Chelsea were to land Drogba, it certainly would be helpful. He is a club legend, is well liked and the players could learn plenty from him. But it would be a big loss for MLS. Drogba is one of the top players in the league, even at 37, and it won't look too hot for MLS to have him just retire as a player and become a coach overseas. With MLS brining over veteran talent as of late, the league needs to do its best to retain him. But at the moment, it appears as if Drogba is on his way out of North America.
