Who's Playing

UNC-Asheville @ North Carolina

Current Records: UNC-Asheville 3-2; North Carolina 3-2

What to Know

The North Carolina Tar Heels will take on the UNC-Asheville Bulldogs at 7 p.m. ET Tuesday at Dean E. Smith Center. UNC-Asheville will be strutting in after a victory while the Tar Heels will be stumbling in from a defeat.

The game between UNC and the Tennessee Volunteers on Sunday was not a total blowout, but with UNC falling 89-72, it was darn close to turning into one. Forward Brady Manek put forth a good effort for the losing side as he shot 6-for-10 from downtown and finished with 24 points. Manek's performance made up for a slower contest against the Purdue Boilermakers this past Saturday. Manek's points were the most he has had all year.

Meanwhile, UNC-Asheville didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup with the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles last Thursday, but they still walked away with a 61-55 win.

UNC is the favorite in this one, with an expected 21.5-point margin of victory. Those sticking with them against the spread have guts, to put it politely, as the team has let down bettors in all their past five games.

North Carolina's loss took them down to 3-2 while UNC-Asheville's win pulled them up to 3-2. A win for the Tar Heels would reverse both their bad luck and UNC-Asheville's good luck. We'll see if UNC manages to pull off that tough task or if the Bulldogs keep their momentum going instead.
