What to Know

The UCF Knights won both of their matches against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane last season (65-58 and 73-69) and are aiming for the same result Monday. UCF and Tulsa will face off in an American Athletic battle at 7 p.m. ET at Addition Financial Arena.

Even if it wasn't a dominant performance, the Knights beat the Wichita State Shockers 71-66 last week. UCF got double-digit scores from four players: guard Brandon Mahan (19), guard Darin Green Jr. (17), forward Cheikh Mbacke Diong (11), and guard Darius Perry (10). Mahan had some trouble finding his footing against the Memphis Tigers two weeks ago, so this was a step in the right direction.

Meanwhile, Tulsa didn't have too much breathing room in their game with the Cincinnati Bearcats this past Saturday, but they still walked away with an 83-77 win. Tulsa's guard Darien Jackson was one of the most active players for the squad, picking up 21 points along with five boards.

UCF is the favorite in this one, with an expected 7.5-point margin of victory. Those who got lucky with them against the spread last Tuesday might want to hold off on placing bets this time since the team has yet to string together back-to-back wins against the spread.

Their wins bumped the Knights to 14-8 and the Golden Hurricane to 8-15. Brandon Mahan will be someone to keep an eye on after he had 19 points in addition to nine rebounds last week. Let's see if he can build on that strong performance or if Tulsa's defense can bottle him up.
