What to Know

The #7 Houston Cougars are 9-2 against the UCF Knights since February of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success this past Saturday. Houston and UCF will face off in an American Athletic battle at 8 p.m. ET at Addition Financial Arena. The Cougars won both of their matches against UCF last season (63-54 and 75-58) and are aiming for the same result this time around.

Houston simply couldn't be stopped last week, as they easily beat the East Carolina Pirates at home 79-36. Houston's guard Kyler Edwards looked sharp as he shot 6-for-11 from beyond the arc and finished with 25 points, seven assists and eight boards.

Meanwhile, the Knights were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap this past Wednesday as they fell 84-79 to the Wichita State Shockers. Guard Darin Green Jr. wasn't much of a difference maker for UCF; Green Jr. finished with only nine points on 4-for-12 shooting in his 35 minutes on the court.
