Tyler Hansbrough was a rarity for the Tar Heels. The ACC's all-time leading scorer stayed in college until his senior season in order to win the 2009 National Championship. Add it all up and Hansbrough goes down as one of the best to play in Chapel Hill.

2. Rasheed Wallace
Rasheed Wallace spent two memorable seasons as a Tar Heel and climaxed with a Final Four appearance in 1995.

3. Rick Fox
Rick Fox and his perfect hair led North Carolina to the Final Four in 1991, before Fox would take his winning ways to the Lakers.

4. Phil Ford
Phil Ford is a legend in Chapel Hill. Before Hansbrough broke his record, Ford was the Tar Heels' all-time leading scorer for more than three decades. Ford won the 1978 Player of the Year award in the NCAA and went on to become the NBA's Rookie of the Year the following season.

5. Bob McAdoo
Before going on to win multiple NBA Finals and an MVP Award, Bob McAdoo dominated the collegiate level. McAdoo came to North Carolina for his junior season and averaged 19 points and 10 rebounds, while leading the Tar Heels to the Final Four in 1972.
6. Ty Lawson
Ty Lawson ran the show for the 2009 National Champion Tar Heels. The speedster was named ACC Player of the Year that season, the first point guard to receive the honor since fellow Tar Heel Phil Ford.

7. Kenny Smith
Before Ty Lawson there was Kenny Smith. He was voted as a first-team All American in 1987 with North Carolina. He went on to win two NBA championships with the Houston Rockets.

8. Brad Daugherty
Brad Daugherty entered the University of North Carolina as a 16-year-old freshman. By the time he was a senior, he averaged more than 20 points per game. His number is now retired by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

9. Raymond Felton
Raymond Felton played three stellar seasons for North Carolina, capped off with a 2005 National Championship. In his final season in Chapel Hill, Felton won the Bob Cousy Award for the best point guard in the nation.

10. Sam Perkins
Big Smooth dominated the paint for North Carolina in the early 1980s. Sam Perkins teamed with James Worthy and Michael Jordan as part of the 1982 National Champions.

11. Jerry Stackhouse
Regarded as one of the top prospects in Carolina since Michael Jordan, Jerry Stackhouse had some huge shoes to fill in Chapel Hill. Stackhouse lived up to the hype in his two seasons, dropping more than 19 points per game.

12. Antawn Jamison
Antawn Jamison was such a phenom at North Carolina that they retired his No. 33 jersey. In his three years at the university, Jamison averaged nearly 19 points and 10 rebounds per game.

13. Vince Carter
Jamison's teammate and best friend at North Carolina, Vince Carter, made a name for himself, too. The dunk champion averaged almost 16 points a game during his time in Carolina blue.

14. James Worthy
Big Game James Worthy dominated from the get-go at North Carolina. He was a stand-out freshman before injuring his ankle. By the time Worthy was a junior, he was playing with fellow stars Sam Perkins and Michael Jordan on the 1982 champions.

15. Michael Jordan
Of course, there's Michael Jordan. Prior to becoming the greatest, Jordan hit a National Championship-clinching jumper to seal the deal for North Carolina in 1982.
