Bowling Green vs. New Mexico State: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Monday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Bowling Green vs. New Mexico State football game
The New Mexico State Aggies watched the action from their couches last weekend, but are set to take to the field. They and the Bowling Green Falcons will compete for holiday cheer in the Quick Lane Bowl on Monday at Ford Field at 2:30 p.m. ET. New Mexico State should still be riding high after a win, while the Falcons will be looking to get back in the win column.
A well-balanced attack led New Mexico State over the Valparaiso Beacons every single quarter on their way to victory three weeks ago. New Mexico State really took it to Valpo for a full four quarters, racking up a 65-3 victory at home. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-3.
As for Bowling Green, it looks like they got the smaller half of the wishbone at Thanksgiving dinner. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 38-14 walloping at the Ohio Bobcats' hands four weeks ago. The Falcons were in a tough position by the half, with the score already sitting at 28-7. QB Matt McDonald had a memorable game, but not in the way you want to be remembered: despite one touchdown, he threw three interceptions and fumbled the ball once.
The Aggies are expected to lose this next one by 3.5. Those betting on them against the spread shouldn't have high expectations for them since the team is 2-4 ATS when expected to lose.
Two defensive stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: New Mexico State enters the game with only 13 passing touchdowns allowed, good for 12th best in the nation. As for the Falcons, they come into the contest boasting the 13th most sacks in the nation at 37.
