Pirates' Antwone Kelly: Joins 40-man roster

The Pirates selected Kelly's contract from Double-A Altoona on Tuesday, Alex Stumpf of MLB.com reports.

Kelly is one of Pittsburgh's top prospects, so it's not a surprise the organization has elected to protect him from being selected during the upcoming Rule 5 Draft. He split the 2025 season between Altoona and High-A Greensboro, finishing with a 3.02 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 116:33 K:BB over 107.1 innings.
