2020 Belmont Stakes winner: Tiz The Law captures first jewel of the Triple Crown in 152nd edition of race
Highlights and analysis from the race

Tiz The Law is the winner as he made good on his 4/5 odds to capture the first Triple Crown race of 2020 in the 152nd running of the Belmont Stakes.
From the moment its plans were finalized was set to be the most unique in the race's history. Beyond the logistical factors that removed the normally raucous crowd from the stands with the goal of limiting the spread of coronavirus, this year's competition in Belmont will kick off the Triple Crown rather than close it out.
Not even the track itself was spared as this year's Belmont Stakes was run at a shortened distance of 1 1/8 miles. Normally, the horses are challenged to run a more grueling distance of 1 1/2 miles, but that changes on Saturday for the first time since 1925.
The changes on and off the track did nothing to deter the eventual winner, as Tiz the Law took the lead in the final furlong to win by four lengths in 1:46.53. He is the first New York-bred Horse to win the Belmont Stakes since Forester won the event in 1882.
