  • Grizzlies' Ja Morant: Tweaks ankle Monday

Morant suffered an ankle injury during the fourth quarter of Monday's game against the Clippers, Mark Medina of TheSportingTribune.com reports. Morant injured his ankle on a drive to the basket and was in obvious pain after the play, per Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal. He would check out with 3:40 remaining in the contest and didn't return with the game comfortably in hand. The team intends to re-evaluate the star point guard Tuesday, and the hope is that he managed to avoid a significant injury.

  • Grizzlies' Ja Morant: Remaining on restriction Monday

Morant will be on a minutes limit Monday against the Clippers, Janis Carr Orange County Register reports. Morant was on a 25-minute restriction in his first game back Friday against the Jazz, and he figures to stick around that mark again Monday as the Grizzlies ease him back into action. He was incredibly effective in a 130-126 loss Monday, racking up 21 points, four rebounds, 10 assists and one block.

  • Grizzlies' Ja Morant: Scores 21 points in return

Morant (calf) had 21 points (7-20 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-7 FT), four rebounds, 10 assists and a block across 25 minutes in Friday's 130-126 loss to the Grizzlies. Morant was limited to 25 minutes in his return from a 10-game absence due to a calf injury, but that was more than enough to show he's fully recovered. He posted a double-double, and while there was some rust in his shooting, he showed glimpses of his talent and elite ability to run the offense. Morant should remain the Grizzlies' go-to option on offense as long as he finds a way to stay healthy.

  • Grizzlies' Ja Morant: Upgraded to available

Morant (calf) is available for Friday's game against the Jazz, Drew Hill of The Daily Memphian reports. Morant was upgraded from questionable to probable earlier Friday, and he'll return from a 10-game absence in this matchup. The return of Morant should translate to fewer minutes for players such as Cam Spencer and Vince Williams.

  • Grizzlies' Ja Morant: Probable for Friday

Morant (calf) is probable for Friday's game against the Jazz, Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports. Morant has been upgraded from questionable to probable and is expected to return from a 10-game absence. For now, it's unclear if he will face any restrictions in his first game back. With Morant back in the mix, both Cam Spencer and Vince Williams could lose some offensive reps.

  • Grizzlies' Ja Morant: Listed as questionable

Morant (calf) is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Jazz. Morant practiced without limitations Thursday and appears to be trending in the right direction. If he gets through warmups without any setbacks, Morant will likely get the green light to return from a 10-game absence. If he does play, players such as Cam Spencer and Vince Williams will likely be less involved in the offense.

  • Grizzlies' Ja Morant: No limitations in practice

Morant (calf) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, Michael Wallace of the Grizzlies' official site reports. The Grizzlies still have to release an official injury report ahead of Friday's tilt against the Jazz, and it sounds like Morant is trending in the right direction. A strained calf has kept the star guard out of action since the middle of November, but once Morant is cleared to retake the floor, Cam Spencer and Vince Williams are likely to have the most to lose from a fantasy perspective.

  • Grizzlies' Ja Morant: Won't play Sunday

Morant (calf) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Trail Blazers. Morant will remain on the shelf for a 10th consecutive contest due to a right calf strain. On a more positive note, the star point guard received a doubtful tag for the first time since going down with the calf injury, suggesting he could be nearing a return. His next opportunity to play will come Friday against the Jazz.

  • Grizzlies' Ja Morant: Doubtful for Sunday

Morant (calf) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Trail Blazers, Law Murray of The Athletic reports. While the star point guard is still expected to miss his 10th consecutive game, this marks the first time he has drawn at least a doubtful tag since sustaining the right calf strain. If he's ultimately ruled out, his next opportunity to play will come Friday against the Jazz.

  • Grizzlies' Ja Morant: Ruled out vs. Clippers

Morant (calf) won't play in Friday's game against the Clippers. Head coach Tuomas Iisalo revealed Thursday that Morant (calf) is now being evaluated on a day-to-day basis, so the star guard's status is worth noting. His next chance to return from a calf strain arrives Sunday against Portland. Until the Grizzlies clear Morant for game action, Vince Williams remains worth holding in the majority of fantasy settings.

  • Grizzlies' Ja Morant: Considered day-to-day

Memphis coach Tuomas Iisalo said Thursday that Morant (calf) is now considered day-to-day, Michael Wallace of the Grizzlies' official site reports. Morant participated in parts of Thursday's progress and appears to be trending in the right direction. Memphis' next game is on Dec. 5 against the Clippers, but a return for that one may still be wishful thinking until he goes through a full practice. Based on previous reporting, the most likely outcome is a return Dec. 12 against the Jazz.

  • Grizzlies' Ja Morant: To be re-evaluated this week

Morant (calf) is set to be re-evaluated after Tuesday's game against the Spurs, Michael Wallace of the Grizzlies' official site reports. Morant hasn't played since Nov. 15 due to a Grade 1 right calf strain and can be considered week-to-week until the Grizzlies provide an update on his timeline for a return. Until the star point guard is cleared to play, Cam Spencer, Vince Williams and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope are candidates for increased playing time.

  • Grizzlies' Ja Morant: Out at least two weeks

Morant will miss at least two weeks with a right calf strain, the Grizzlies announced Monday. Morant left Saturday's game against the Cavaliers early with what was described as soreness at the time, but further evaluation revealed a strain. Memphis' depth at point guard is nonexistent due to injuries, so the team will rely on players such as Jaylen Wells, Cam Spencer and Vince Williams to pick up the slack. The Grizzlies also recently signed guard Jahmai Mashack to a two-way contract. Based on this update from Memphis, Morant is likely to miss the rest of November at a minimum.

  • Grizzlies' Ja Morant: Won't return vs. Cleveland

Morant won't return to Saturday's game against the Cavaliers due to right calf soreness. Morant exited to the locker room in the first quarter due to a calf issue, and the star point guard will be sidelined for the remainder of Saturday's contest. Morant's absence means Cam Spencer, Cedric Coward and Vince Williams are likely to see increased minutes the rest of the way.

  • Grizzlies' Ja Morant: Exits to locker room Saturday

Morant (undisclosed) exited to the locker room in the first quarter of Saturday's game against the Cavaliers, Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports. Morant checked out of the game with 6:01 remaining in the opening quarter, and it's unclear why he headed back to the locker room. If the star point guard is unable to return, Cam Spencer and Vince Williams are candidates for increased minutes the rest of the way.

  • Grizzlies' Ja Morant: Not listed on injury report

Morant (ankle) is not being listed on the injury report ahead of Saturday's game in Cleveland. Morant sat out the second leg of a back-to-back Wednesday after tweaking his ankle during Tuesday's game, but he'll be back in action Saturday night. Vince Williams will likely head back to the second unit with Morant active, and Cam Spencer's minutes will dip.

  • Grizzlies' Ja Morant: Won't play Wednesday

Morant (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Celtics. Morant tweaked his left ankle during Tuesday's match and will now miss Wednesday's game in Boston. Cam Spencer started the last time Morant was out, so he may be getting the call again Wednesday evening. Expect a larger workload on offense for Jaren Jackson, Cedric Coward and possibly Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

  • Grizzlies' Ja Morant: Poor shooting display Sunday

Morant totaled 11 points (3-18 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three rebounds, eight assists and one steal over 34 minutes during Sunday's 114-100 loss to the Thunder. Morant had another woeful shooting performance Sunday, but this isn't the first time he has struggled from the floor this season. In fact, this was the fifth time in the 2025-26 season in which he made five or fewer field goals while attempting 14-plus shots. With that in mind, it's not surprising to see Morant shooting a career-low 35.8 percent from the floor and 14.8 percent from deep. Morant is too talented to continue struggling like this for a long time, but the star guard has undoubtedly been one of the most disappointing performers in fantasy in 2025-26 relative to his ADP.

  • Grizzlies' Ja Morant: Double-doubles Friday

Morant amassed 21 points (7-20 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 7-7 FT), five rebounds, 13 assists and three steals over 32 minutes during Friday's 118-104 victory over the Mavericks. Morant reached the 20-point plateau for the first time since Oct. 29, when he posted 28 points in a win over the Suns. This was also his second double-double over his last three games since returning from a one-game suspension handed by the team. Morant can be a dominant backcourt presence when available, and the Grizzlies need him at his best on a steady basis. Since returning from the suspension, Morant is averaging 18.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, 10.3 assists and 1.7 steals per game in three contests.

  • Grizzlies' Ja Morant: Stuffs stat sheet, shoots poorly

Morant amassed 17 points (6-19 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, eight assists, one block and one steal across 34 minutes during Wednesday's 124-109 loss to the Rockets. Morant posted a solid stat line in this 15-point loss to the Rockets, but his shooting woes surfaced once again. The star floor general was terrible from deep, missing all but one of his seven shots from beyond the arc, and he's made just four of his 25 three-pointers over his last four outings. Morant has also failed to reach the 20-point mark in his last three contests, so this has been a disappointing start to the season for him and for fantasy managers who took a chance on him and decided to draft him in the early rounds.
