  • Colts' Quartney Davis: Reverts to IR

Davis (shoulder) cleared waivers and reverted to Indianapolis' injured reserve Wednesday, per the NFL's official transaction log. Davis suffered the injury during the preseason opener and was waived/injured Tuesday by the Colts. He won't have a chance to see the field this season unless he reaches an injury settlement with the team.

  • Quartney Davis: Cut with injury designation

The Colts waived Davis (shoulder) with an injury designation Tuesday. Davis picked up a shoulder injury during Sunday's exhibition matchup against the Panthers, after logging two catches for 29 yards. Assuming he goes unclaimed on waivers, Davis will revert to Indianapolis' injured reserve list.

  • Colts' Quartney Davis: Injured in preseason opener

Davis sustained a shoulder injury in Sunday's preseason opener against the Panthers, Joel A. Erickson of IndyStar reports. Davis had two catches for 29 yards prior to sustaining the injury. He can ill afford to miss much time given how far down the Colts' depth chart Davis is buried, so the wide receiver will likely do all he can to get back out there for Week 2 of the preseason in Minnesota.

  • Colts' Quartney Davis: Inks future deal with Colts

Davis signed a reserve/future contract with Indianapolis on Sunday. After looking at potential new teams for the 2021 season, Davis has officially secured a futures contract with the Colts. The receiver has yet to suit up in an NFL game but will hopefully get the opportunity to make his debut in the upcoming year.

  • Vikings' Quartney Davis: Placed on NFI list

The Vikings placed Davis (undisclosed) on the active/non-football injury list Tuesday. An undrafted rookie out of Texas A&M, Davis would already be facing an uphill battle for a roster spot even if he were to log a full training camp. On the other hand, he was pursued by multiple teams before reaching a deal with Minnesota that includes $100,000 guaranteed, so the Vikings may have increased incentive to be patient with his development.
