Hills signed with the Lions' practice squad Wednesday.
Hills lost his spot on the practice squad Saturday when the team added Paul Perkins, but he quickly made his way back to the unit. Perkins was elevated to the 53-man roster with Kerryon Johnson (knee) moving to injured reserve, reopening the spot for Hills.

The 24-year-old signed with the practice squad earlier in October but will lose his spot as Detroit brings aboard fellow RB Paul Perkins. Hills is still looking to make his NFL debut after going undrafted out of Slippery Rock in 2017.

Hills was let go by the Cardinals on Sept. 2 with an injury settlement, but, as evidenced by this news, he has shaken off his injury and returned to the field. The undrafted free agent will now focus on making a good impression in practice and push for a roster spot.

The undrafted free agent signed on with the Cardinals in the spring but suffered an undisclosed at some point during training camp. The back will shift his focus to making a full recovery before attempting to sign on with a new team.
