Blackhawks' Anton Frondell: Nets 10th goal of SHL season
Rotowire
Frondell scored a goal in Djurgardens' 3-2 win over Timra IK on Saturday in the SHL.
Frondell has played well this season with 10 goals and five assists over 25 appearances in the SHL. It's his first year in the league, though the 18-year-old will be taking a break from his club team to represent Sweden at the World Junior Championship later this month. Considering he's been playing against men in the SHL all year, he should have a dominant performance at the WJC.

Frondell is up to 12 points (eight goals, four assists) through his first 17 games in the SHL. The 18-year-old is proving why the Blackhawks made him the No. 3 overall pick in 2025, showcasing a goal-scoring touch in a men's league. Frondell figures to be a candidate for Sweden's World Junior Championship squad, but he has plenty to feel good about already in a strong start to 2025-26.
