Chelsea vs. Manchester City score: De Bruyne, Mahrez lead City comeback to cool red-hot Blues
Christian Pulisic started but didn't make much of an impact

Manchester City came from behind to beat Chelsea on Saturday in the Premier League 2-1, with Kevin de Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez scoring the goals. The victory comes right after the international break, where City had to wait until this match to try and wash away the bad taste in their mouths left by that defeat at Liverpool.
City started slow but dominated once it drew level, controlling the ball and the majority of the chances. N'Golo Kante scored the opener 21 minutes in, but De Bruyne leveled eight minutes later against his former club before Riyad Mahrez's beautiful winner 37 minutes in.
It was a match where precision on shots was lacking for most of the game, while the precision in passing was there. Both teams were sharp with the ball at their feet until they got closer to goal, as they combined to put just six of 26 shots on frame.
After Kante's well-taken opener, that was it was from the Blues. They took their foot at the gas, tried to cruise but instead ran into roadblocks. De Bruyne got a finish in the box against his former team, and then Mahrez did this:
The result pulls City to within nine points of first-place Liverpool, with the Reds winning 2-1 on Saturday at Crystal Palace. American Christian Pulisic played for the Blues but was substituted off in the second half after a display that didn't match his recent ones where he scored in three straight.
Starting lineups
Chelsea: Kepa; Emerson, Fikayo Tomori, Kurt Zouma, Cesar Azpilicueta; Jorginho. N'Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic; Chrisitan Pulisic, Willian, Tammy Abraham.
Man. City: Ederson; Benjamin Mendy, John Stones, Fernandinho, Joao Cancelo, Rodri, Kevin de Bruyne, David Silva; Raheem Sterling, Sergio Aguero, Riyad Mahrez.
Chelsea 1-2 Manchester City (final)
Goal ruled out but it looked on...
3-1 City! Sterling! He finishes a loose ball in the box, and this one is over!
Final five minutes for the Blues. City with an attacking corner, as both centerbacks go for it. Not playing cautious, but Chelsea doesn't spring forward fast enough on the counter.
Aguero injured. Holding his groin area. He's coming off.
Aguero taken down in the box!!! No penalty? Sterling with a great ball, but if it were a foul it would have been outside of the box anyways.
After that, Batshuayi and Mason Mount come on.
20 minutes remaining. The Blues with just two shots on goal.
65' Almost another goal from Chelsea thanks to Riyad Mahrez's rifle shot. Does well to hit it one time, but Kepa gets a good hand to it.
