Top plays

Haaland records a brace for Dortmund: The Norwegian forward was able to connect, scoring two goals. Look at this one from the 32nd minute.

Magomed Suleymanov's set piece finish: Krasnodar made things interesting in the first half when Suleymanov opened up the scoring in the 17th minute on a set piece against Sevilla.

Alvaro Morata breaks through for Juventus: The Spanish forward has been tasked with trying to find the back of the net more this season, and he opened the scoring Wednesday with this goal in the seventh minute.

Felipe Caicedo equalizes Lazio: The Serie A squad was down and nearly out before Caicedo subbed on and provided this equalizer.

Edin Visca keeps Istanbul ahead: Visca finished his run and the chance in the box after a dummy from Demba Ba to give Istanbul enough for a win over Manchester United.

Christopher Nkunku brings RB Leipzig level: The former PSG player was able to get on the scoresheet today as Nkunku provided a clinical finish for the equalizer in an eventual win for the Bundesliga side.

Notable performances

Let's rate some of the notable performances on the day, with one being the worst and 10 being perfection:

Youssef En-Nesyri, Sevilla: The Moroccan international had done well to score goals and earn the win for Sevilla, nailing both the equalizer and game winner while Sevilla was playing a man down. RATING: 10

Demba Ba, Istanbul: The 35-year-old forward is older than his current club and he was responsible for making club history as he scored Istanbul's first ever Champions League goal. RATING: 8

Alvaro Morata, Juventus: A solid performance from the Spanish international in his 100th appearance after a rough showing last week. Scoring two goals ensured a win for Juventus. RATING: 9

Timo Werner, Chelsea: The German forward was active in the box and was responsible for converting two penalty kicks tonight, and kept the Rennes defense on notice. RATING: 10
