Final Four 2017: This seventh-grader puts your busted bracket to shame
Charlotte, N.C., middle school student has perfect Final Four and predicted South Carolina over Duke
Right now, a seventh-grader in Charlotte, N.C., has a perfect Final Four and you don’t.
Sasha Anderson, from Mountain Island Lake Academy in northwest Charlotte, filled out an NCAA Tournament bracket for her math teacher’s competition. According to the Charlotte Observer, Anderson’s mother went to South Carolina and she picked the Gamecocks to make it all the way to the Final Four, along with Gonzaga, Oregon and North Carolina.

For the record, she has North Carolina over Gonzaga in the title game.
It’s not a perfect bracket, according to the article, but right now it’s beating all of the teachers and leading overall in the school-wide competition. The teacher, Denzelle Lawson, told the Observer the NCAA Tournament activity is “an opportunity to engage his students to learn about colleges across the country in a fun way.”
So next year, think “what would a seventh-grader pick” when filling out your bracket. It’s obviously better than whatever you did this year.
