Kentucky's Derek Willis found lying in the street, faces public intoxication charges
Willis, a rising senior who averaged 7.7 points per game for UK, turns 21 later this month.

One of John Calipari's players at Kentucky found himself in handcuffs over the weekend.
Multiple reports have senior-to-be Derek Willis arrested on public intoxication charges on Saturday.
Willis, who is not of legal drinking age, turns 21 later this month. The Louisville Courier-Journal reports that Willis was passed out in the street, next to a vehicle with its driver-side car door still open.
According to the arrest citation provided by the Boone County Sheriff's Department, a deputy was dispatched to Mountain Laurel Way in Union, Ky., because of a possible drunk subject "laying in the middle of the street." The deputy arrived to find Willis on the ground outside the open driver's side door of a vehicle and reported a "strong odor of associated with alcohol" coming from the inside of the vehicle and Willis.
The deputy reported Willis said he had "a lot" to drink and could not advise where he was other than to say in "northern Kentucky" after being woken up. The citation reports Willis had extremely slurred speech, was unsteady on his feet and "was a danger to himself and others."
Willis was a three-star recruit when he committed to UK as a member of the class of 2013. His first two seasons were quiet, but last year he began to see the court a lot more. He put up 7.7 points and 4.0 rebounds per game and made 53 3-pointers.
"We are aware of the situation and are still gathering more information," UK spokeswoman Deb Moore said in a statement to The Courier-Journal. "We will hold any further comment until it is deemed necessary."
