LaVar Ball has been all over the headlines lately. The father of UCLA freshman Lonzo Ball and two up-and-coming high school talents has earned a ton of publicity for his claims that his son is better than Lebron and that he himself could take Michael Jordan back in his heyday.
His name is everywhere you look.
But some people on Twitter have mistaken LaVar Ball, the parent, for “Reading Rainbow” star LeVar Burton. And Burton ain’t havin’ it.
@levarburton LeVar you averaged 2.2 PPG, stop running your mouth about MJ. #shutup @MichaelJordaan

Ha! You've got me confused with @LavarBall... #bydhttmwfi https://t.co/TdHoS8Ou1S

It’s an honest mix-up, I guess. But one played Lt. Geordi LaForge on “Star Trek: The Next Generation” and hosted “Reading Rainbow.” The other one is a very proud parent who likes to boast about his kids. The latter apologized for the mistake and called himself a “big fan” of Burton’s work.
@levarburton Sorry about that Mr. Burton. Big Fan! #BigBallerBrand

If LaVar Ball keeps running his mouth, chances are this isn’t the last mean tweet that LeVar Burton will mistakenly have fired his way.
