Here's a breakdown of the teams who have multiple candidates on the list:
Duke (3)
Kansas (3)
Kentucky (3)
Oregon (3)
Indiana (2)
North Carolina (2)
Villanova (2)
Virginia (2)
Xavier (2)
While the preseason lists includes just 50 candidates, it's important to note that anyone could win the award, regardless of whether they were included on the original preseason list.
With that in mind, we did count a few snubs who were edged out from the early top 50.
1. OG Anunoby, Indiana: He's maybe the third option for the Hoosiers and slightly overshadowed by Thomas Bryant and James Blackmon Jr., but his defensive prowess gives Tom Crean's squad another gear. His continued improvement on the offensive end should sneak him into the top 50, but he'll certainly have a chance to prove he deserves to be on this list.
2. Johnathan Motley, Baylor: A lanky, athletic forward who very well could sneak into the first round of the NBA draft. DraftExpress ranks him as the No. 50 overall prospect in the class, but he has a chance to significantly improve that this year. He'll be an All Big-12 first team player on a Baylor team that looks primed to have another solid season.
The Wooden Award All-American Team will be announced the week of the Elite Eight round of the NCAA Tournament. The winner will be announced during the ESPN College Basketball Awards Show on Friday, April 7, 2017.
