For the second consecutive week, the Florida Gators have announced redshirt freshman Will Grier as their starting quarterback. Grier will be under center for the Gators' SEC opener at Kentucky on Saturday night.

Grier also started in Week 2 for Florida when the Gators got a close call from East Carolina in a 31-24 victory.

In two games, Grier has completed 74.3 percent of his passes for 317 yards, four touchdowns and just one interception; he is the nation's 13th most efficient passer. Harris has completed 70.4 percent of his throws for 269 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions.

It appears as though Grier has taken the lead in the quarterback competition, as Harris -- who started against New Mexico State -- saw limited action against the Pirates, but Florida still plans to use both quarterbacks on Saturday.
