South Carolina’s spring game has been moved to better accommodate fans wanting to come see the Gamecocks in person and then catch the basketball team in the Final Four on Saturday night (6:09 p.m. ET, CBS).

The school announced Monday that the spring game kickoff has been moved from 2 p.m. to Noon ET. The event is free and open to the public, which we’re assuming is all very interested in watching Sindarious Thornwell, Frank Martin and the Gameocks take on Gonzaga later in the evening.

Bentley and his teammates too want to make sure they are showered and tuned in for tip-off too. Most of the players have watched every game, so the adjusted schedule makes sure everyone will be able to enjoy both on Saturday.

“We watch every game,” Bentley said Monday, via 247Sports. “There’s a group of guys and we all get together and watch the games. It’s awesome just to see how hard they play and all the support that has been rallied around them from the school. You can tell the support from around the campus and the city. It’s been awesome.”

This really is the best Saturday possible for a South Carolina fan. Will Muschamp was able to get the Gamecocks to a bowl game in year one, and now he’s got Jake Bentley back with expectations to making some noise in a wide-open SEC East in 2017. You throw that excitement in with the basketball fever that has taken over the entire state and you’ve got a big day ahead this weekend.
