Whether or not Penn State makes the College Football Playoff is still to be decided. However, the Nittany Lions are the 2016 Big Ten champions. At the very least, they are headed to Pasadena for the Rose Bowl.

Not bad for a program with a coach, James Franklin, facing some hot seat chatter at the start of the year.

Penn State pulled out a come-from-behind 38-31 victory over No. 6 Wisconsin, the ninth straight win for the program. Quarterback Trace McSorley passed for a Big Ten title game record of 384 yards and four touchdowns in a brilliant performance. With a Clemson win over Virginia Tech in the ACC Championship Game, the only thing left to determine is whether the selection committee will select Penn State or Ohio State for a spot.

Based on Jerry Palm's bowl projections, it will be the Buckeyes in the final four. Still, what a season by Penn State.

Thanks for stopping by.
